5 stars Excellent Read 2010-04-24

Reviewer: Richard S. Freeman

This is a thorough, well-written book. I got the book as I am nearing the completion of my PhD program and I am interested in teaching online. The book offered some great insight, direction, and recommendations for me. Overall, the information will be helpful as I move to apply to teach at online schools. Excellent book. I would highly recommend it.

1 stars Great for making money, not for teaching. 2010-04-23

Reviewer: Diana C. Pitaru

Having taken multiple classes under Babb's "tutelage", I can say without a doubt that her methods are geared towards making her rich instead of actually teaching. She does not grade homework nor even look at assignments. She has so many different colleges paying her for different classes that I doubt she would even have the time to pay any attention to a student. Is this the way "teaching online" should be? This book is a disgrace, and so is the field of online teaching for profit.

5 stars Excellent introduction to online teaching 2010-03-13

Reviewer: Javier Berezdivin

I read this book a year ago and found it extremely helpful in understanding the field of online teaching, what it takes, and how to get into the field. It's a nuts-and-bolts introduction that will help you break into this field. I highly recommend the book although I agree with other reviewers that you shouldn't expect to make a six figure salary unless you work at this full time and with incredible organizational skills and experience. Since reading the book I've been able to teach for two different institutions. I'm grateful to the authors. Well worth the price!

5 stars The Book Requires Action 2010-01-24

Reviewer: Sylvester Rolack II

I am an adjunct professor. The book is very realistic. The book is not a con or a money trap. It offers real advice and strategies. It is up to the reader to use them. Well worth the money.

I am not friends with the authors and do not benefit in anyway from this post.

Take the advice in the book very seriously and put it to work. You should see results, if you are qualified.

4 stars Interesting read 2010-01-09

Some of the tips in this book are silly, others are practical and seem like they will work.
